Hi, I’m Riya. I’m a medical student, tutor, and the founder of A* Tutors.
I’ve been tutoring for years, and having experienced education both as a student and as a tutor, I’ve seen first-hand just how much of a difference the right support can make. I achieved 9s in all my GCSEs and A*s in Biology, Chemistry and Maths at A Level, but I know that academic success isn’t just about grades. It’s equally about having the confidence, guidance and support to reach your potential.
That’s why I’m so passionate about tutoring. I want every student to feel that their goals are achievable, regardless of where they’re starting from. Tutoring shouldn’t be difficult to find, inaccessible, or something that’s only available to a select few.
